Summer time adventures!!

Ella met Freckles the horse...who snorted and scared the teetee out of her! I did feel a little bad because as she was having an emotional breakdown Clay and I were laughing hysterically. She survived though...we will wait a little while before we visit Freckles again!

Dinner at Ruby Tequilas with Papa, Gigi and Grandma is always a treat!!

Ella LOVES the water now!

She also enjoys playing with her water table from Papa and Gigi!

We celebrated Father's Day with an evening at home waiting on Daddy!! She is such a Daddy's girl!

The easy life!

Oh goodness me, it has been too long since I have last updated my blog! The last entry was in February and boy has a lot changed for the Lehnen family!
We are now full on into the summer time...heated temperatures, daylight till 9pm, and Ella's 1st birthday in a few weeks! Clay, Ella and I have also moved (March 31) into a new home that we absolutely love!! Our new address is on the quietest street with great neighbors and lovely landscape (not like East TX, but stil nice). Actullay, keeping the landscape lovely has been a bit difficult due to the lack of rain we have gotten. It has not rained in Lubbock in almost 12 months...yes I said 12 months! CRAZY! We pray for rain daily....please join us! :)
I have posted a few pictures of our new abode! We were blessed with a quick sale of our previous home and yes it was a bit crazy finding a new one, packing and moving in about 2 weeks time, but the Lord did provide (as always!)

Ella finding some fun in Mommy's new closet! :)

We have also celebrated a few 1st holidays with Ella!! The most important one being the Resurrection of our Lord! Easter 2011 was filled with laughs (Ella seeing the Easter Bunny for the 1st time), family and good food and LOTS of pictures! Gigi, Papa and Great Grandma Jackie came to celebrate with us!! It was so wonderful to have everyone together and to celebrate Ella's 1st Easter!

A few other holidays have been Ella's 1st Memorial Day which we celebrated with a lot of old war movie watching and swimming in our new pool which we did not like AT ALL!! I am pretty sure it was the water temp though (she did look pretty cute in her bikini)! We did try it again this past weekend with warmer water and we had a lof of fun!!

We also celebrated Mother's Day and our 4th wedding anniersary!! These past few months have been such a blessing!! Wow, how time flies when you are having the best time of your life!! :)
Stay tuned for news and pics about Ella's 1st birthday bash, our trip to visit Papa and Gigi in East Texas in July and tons more summer fun!

Ella's Dedication Ceremony was so very special! It was special dedicating her to the Lord and also having her grandparents and great-grandmother there too!

So 2011 has started out to be a year of freezing COLD weather. I really don't see how people can leave in REALLY COLD weather...I mean it's cold here but nothing compared to what some folks up North expereince. Let's just say that they are better than I.

2011 has also proved to start out with a lot of running noses, stopped up noses, coughing, some high fever and LOTS of use of the booger sucker (the technical term I am sure). Ella has had quiet the cold and and can't seem to shake it. I also got some of her symptoms along with 2 days of a high fever. Not that I am saying I am smarter than the doctor that I went to see, but I think had I more than an upper respiratory infection...I am just saying it felt more like the FLU! Yes, the flu! I getting over it and thank the Lord that Clay never got it and Ella has escaped with only a mild something (not the flu).

We do keep her pretty bundled up when there is any chance for going outdoors!

This was the picture I took right before I put all the warm gear on! I don't think she liked it too much!

Ella is learning to not hate being on her tummy as much now. Actually, yesterday I saw signs of maybe some crawling in our near future!

And the camera (well mommy really) loves her baby blue eyes!

Last weekend we had Ella's dedication ceremony at church and it was so special! I will post pictures soon!!

Another really interesting thing that has recently happened in our life is we have put our house up for sale! We are praying for a quick sale because we have found a house that we really love and could see ourselves in for a long time! I will keep you posted on the progess!! Goodbye for now and until I have more to write about! : )

At the table!

Ella is using her booster now and sitting at the table like a big girl!

Gig Em Aggies!!

This past weekend Clay and I (yes without Ella...more about that later) went to Dallas to watch the Aggies play in the Cotton Bowl at Jerry's World. The Aggies did not have a successful victory but we had fun none the less!! I have to say if you have not been to Cowboy Stadium...you must go and see this monstrosity! There were over 83,000 screeming people there (LSU and Aggie fans). The stadium is sooo BIG! It was a great expereince!!

We were so proud that our good ole Aggies made it to the Cotton Bowl!! We also had SOOO MUCH fun hanging out with awesome friends that we had not seen in a long time!!

So to the part about not bringing Ella with us...she stayed with Clay's parents and this was our first weekend away without her. I cried a good portion of the way to Dallas, but once we got there I was ok (still missed her like CRAZY). She had a fun weekend with her grandparents, but was really excited to see us when we got home!!!
I almost cried again when I saw her because I was sooo happy to see her!!!
Hello 2011!!!!! What an exciting year 2010 has been...but we cannot wait to find out what 2011 will bring!!

Clay, Ella and I celebrated the coming of 2011 at Hayashi Habachi and Sushi. We had so much fun!! Ella loved watching the cook and we met some really nice people that were sitting at the table with us.
